Ogun Police To Portable: Miss March 31 Deadline, Get Arrested

This is not the best of times for controversial hip hop act, Habeeb Okikiola popularly called Portable as he has been in the spotlight for two days now and he has had his name mentioned in connection with one thing or the other by the police.
This had come barely 24 hours after a video that had him obstructing police officers surfaced online.
It will be recalled that while resisting arrest at his bar as seen in the viral video, Portable had told the cops that he is a ‘superstar’ ,who works for the ruling APC.
‘You dey tell superstar say ‘you are under arrest’. In my office? You are telling me you are under arrest for what? Why , why? Did I know you?
Petition against me that’s why you come and scattered my bar? You come and everybody is running up and down. Even me…You are supposed to call me then I will come to your office or my manager will come. I have manager’ he had said.
‘No, don’t tell me this one I’m doing will not help me. I’m a superstar. I’m a celebrity. Show me your ID cards everybody. Show me your ID cards oga….I’m a federal government liability. I work for APC. Akoi Tinubu. We own Nigeria’ he added when one of the cops urged him to cooperate with them.
Little or nothing was known about Habeeb Okikiola before December 2021, he however attained stardom after contributing to the song ‘ZaZoo Zehh’ featuring Olamide and a popular dancer, Poco Lee.
Force PRO , Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi , a Chief Superintendent of Police, in a statement on Wednesday had not only condemned Portable’s actions but also noted that he may be made to face prosecution.
Before getting a breather from that, Ogun state Police Command also issued a 72-hour ultimatum submitting that Portable should show up at the nearest police station in the state or get arrested if he misses the deadline on Friday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned spokesman for the police in Ogun state, Abimbola Oyeyemi also added that the police had taken decision to arrest him after getting invited on five different occasions which he had failed to honour.
He said the controversial hip hop act was invited sequel to the petition made available to the police by a young studio owner who claimed that Portable and his boys beat him up and locked his studio.
‘On receiving the petition by the police, an invitation letter was sent to him five times, but he refused to appear at the police station. Again, an invitation letter was sent to him through his father; he still did not come to the station.
The police did not want a breakdown of law and order, so his arrest was to be effected on Tuesday and now he started with all series of videos, saying all sorts of things. His father has been begging but we have told him if he refuses to turn himself in between now and Friday, he will be arrested’ he said.
It will be recalled that Portable had last year ordered his boys to beat up a DJ in the Sango area of Ogun state and his father had to accompany him to the police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta after he had refused to honour police invitation- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
