Ogunsua’s Palace Wears New Look Ahead Of Presentation Of Staff Of Office To Oba Joseph Toriola
The Ogunsua of Modakeke’s palace, Modakeke, Osun state, has been given a new look ahead of the presentation of staff of office to Oba Joseph Olubiyi Toriola .
The new Modakeke monarch, Oba Joseph Olubiyi Toriola, Ajibise Ogo 1, will on Thursday November 3, 2022 earn official recognition by receiving the Staff of Office.
In preparation for this historic event, the palace of the Ogunsua has been completely redesigned and the entire edifice has been high-graded and fully furnished.
Stakeholders in Modakeke serving on various committees including the Modakeke Progressive Union (MPU) under the leadership of Rotarian Julius Odelola Odegbemi, had also been busy with activities and doing the needful to ensure a hitch-free and successful event.
To this end, various socio-cultural and religious societies and groups had also engaged in planning side attractions that will make the event a must-attend.
The Ogunsua Palace Media committee in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Monday night by Chief Adedayo Ojo said the upcoming event will be the launch pad for repositioning Modakeke as a cultural pilgrimage destination.
The statement noted that members of clubs and associations, individuals and well- wishers had taken turns to pay homage to the new Modakeke monarch with assurances of their readiness to participate in the event.
‘The numerous compounds in Modakeke have also been outdoing one another with active participation.
Illustrious sons and daughters of Modakeke at home and in the Diaspora have also started arriving in the ancient town ahead of Thursday.
The new Modakeke monarch as well as the chiefs are also busy making necessary preparations to ensure the success of the event.
Oba Toriola , who is eagerly looking forward to the D-Day, has been full of gratitude to God Almighty, the state Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetaola, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, all Modakeke chiefs, the leadership of Modakeke Progressive Union(MPU), sons and daughters of the town, other stakeholders, families, friends and well-wishers ,who have been contributing and taking steps to ensure that the event becomes a huge success.
The Kabiyesi enjoins his subjects to celebrate the event peacefully without violence as doing otherwise would not be in tandem with his vision and mission to ensure peace in Modakeke and its environs’ the statement said.
