Okada Riders, Artisans Bearing The Brunt Of Poor Governance, Won’t Dump Our Party-Kwara PDP

Okada Riders, Artisans Bearing The Brunt Of Poor Governance, Won’t Dump Our Party-Kwara PDP

Kwara state PDP on Monday asserted that commercial motorcycle riders and artisans in the state have remained main supporters of the party and will also have no plausible reason to leave the PDP for the APC.

The state Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Tunji Morounfoye in a statement made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com  clarified that only ten people actually burnt the fez caps emblazoned with ‘Osu wa’ -the recent catchphrase introduced by the party.

‘The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) notes with amusement the pictures and statement on social media, suspected to  have been put out by the Kwara state All Progressives Congress (APC) that;

‘Hundreds of Kwarans, including artisans and members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Sunday, gathered across their parks to burn the branded caps of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilorin, the state capital’.

This statement could not be any further from the truth as only ten people suspected to be non- transport union members gathered at the post office area to burn souvenirs belonging to opposition party. It is an open secret that Alh. Taiye Olose , who is the Chairman of the Task Force committee of the union in the state,  is a known APC sympathizer.

 We wonder why the Chairman of the purported transport union himself or the union itself didn’t issue a statement in support of the Kwara APC.

Also, there hasn’t been any direct meeting between our undisputed party Leader, Dr. Abubakar ‘Bukola Saraki (CON) and the union member being quoted in the purported statement, wherein PDP campaign souvenirs were reportedly distributed to the union members.

Furthermore, why would transport union members and Artisans who have been subjected to various levels of draconian taxes by the Kwara state APC regime be in support of their tormentors. This defies common sense and simple logic.

In addition to the above, aren’t we all as Kwarans suffering the effect of deplorable state of roads in the Ilorin metropolitan areas and everywhere else? Our vehicles, even more so, those of transport union members have suffered maximum damage from the huge potholes on our roads, as they ply our roads daily, without fail. Why would transport union members refuse a change that would drastically cut their operational costs? the party argued.

The statement added that transport union members like all Kwara state citizens had  suffered grievously from the APC policies that had allegedly led to inflation, high food prices, poverty, insecurity and the decay of social infrastructure in  Kwara state and the nation as a whole.

‘Why would they resist a positive change in their unfortunate circumstances?
We at the PDP put it to the inept kwara state APC regime led by Mal. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq that, the souvenirs burning drama reported on social media was pre-arranged and like a Nollywood movie scene to make  it look as if the PDP has been rejected in Kwara state.

The Kwara state APC regime will find out in a few months’ time that, it will take beyond burning of opposition souvenirs and glossy, regularly changed campaign billboards to win elections’ the statement added.

The party urged Kwarans to ‘ignore the antics of the sinking Kwara state APC regime of stage-managing events with propaganda and rather vote massively for the PDP in the coming general election’-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
