On-Set Food Poisoning Leaves 2 Nollywood Actors Dead In Imo, 2 Others Hospitalized

Imo State Police Command has confirmed the death of 2 Nollywood actors in Owerri following an on-set food poisoning incident.
They had reportedly eaten rice and also drank coconut liqueur.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state police command, Henry Okoye, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday while noting that investigation is underway.
‘Yes, the command is aware of the unfortunate case of unnatural death. I can confirm that two people were pronounced dead, while two others were hospitalized.
As we speak, the Commissioner of Police, Imo State, Aboki Danjuma, has directed a pathologist to conduct tests on the two deceased persons to ascertain the cause of their death.
The results will determine the next line of action in the matter’ he said.
Recall that four actors were rushed to the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Owerri on Friday night while two among them were declared as brought in dead patients.
A facebook user, Kaito Karisia disclosed that the movie director provided the food and the Coconut Liqueur, the two people who are hospitalized, he noted, took a small amount of the liquor while the two others that died finished up the wine.
‘Their host (the movie director) offered them rice, and everyone ate. He later brought out a bottle of Calypso and wine. They only took a sip and did not drink further.
However, the two other guys, who are now dead, finished up the drink’ one of the survivors reportedly said.
