Osinbajo Joining 2023 Presidential Race Was Done In Good Faith-Media Aide
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s decision to join the 2023 presidential race last year was done in good faith, his media aide , Mr. Laolu Akande, has said.
He added that Osinbajo had also done this because he has the qualities required to effectively carry out presidential duties and responsibilities.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Akande said this in an interview with Channels Television on Friday.
‘What is important is that you take the step you want to take in the best interest of the people. Public interest is the overriding factor.
The level of understanding that you have acquired in terms of what has to be done and the capacity he has demonstrated when he had the opportunity to act for the president.
And he has inspired tens and scores of millions of Nigerians with his leadership style. People see him as a representation of a new Nigeria. All of these can’t be in place, and he just walks away. He did what he needed to do and the party made the decision and he just have to move on after doing the right thing’ Akande asserted.
It will be recalled that the APC presidential primary election held in Abuja on June 8 2022 had Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo among the contestants.
While Tinubu , who got party nomination and eventually won the presidential election held on February 25 , 2023 , got 1,271 votes, Osinbajo had 235 votes-Team@orientactualmags.com
