Osun APC Accuses Gov Adeleke Of Lying About Reason For Leaving The Country

Osun APC Accuses Gov Adeleke Of Lying About Reason For Leaving The Country

Osun state APC  has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of lying about reason for leaving the country while claiming that the governor has actually been holidaying in the United States of America in the last two weeks.

Recall that  Governor Ademola Adeleke had on Saturday disclosed that he will be embarking  on a short working vacation to Europe and Asia to finalize partnership deals with investors and development partners

.His  Special Adviser, Mr. Olawale Rasheed had noted in a statement he issued in Osogbo that the governor, who has not gone on a break since assuming office a year ago, would be concluding partnership deals in several sectors with investors who had earlier visited the state at different times.

The state APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, described the statement from the governor’s office in respect of the state chief executive’s whereabouts  as full of contradictions adding that they had done this to hide some information.

“Of course, this is a mere prelude to laying foundation for excuses that Governor Adeleke would not be physically present in the state for the celebration of his one year in office tomorrow.

It was reliably gathered that a recorded speech from the governor would be played for the people of the state in lieu of his physical presence tomorrow.

No one can begrudge another for falling sick or nursing an ailment as such is beyond the control of any human being but God Almighty but it behooves on those who are holding the people’s mandate in trust to always tell the truth and stand by the truth.

We know very well that Governor Adeleke has absconded from the state so that he would not give due account of his stewardship to the people of the state’ the party submitted while alleging that he has run the state aground since November 2022 when he came on board.

‘He is afraid to disclose to Osun people how he has mismanaged over N130billion revenue accrued to his government in the last one year.

He is afraid to tell them how he has allocated in the supplementary budget over N10billion for his food, entertainment and office needs while the parents of UNIOSUN students are struggling to pay increased school fees his regime has forced on them to pay.

The Osun people deserve to know the whereabouts of their state executive if only to clear the news flying around that the governor is on a medical procedure in far away Thailand with some of his state kitchen cabinet members while the other top echelons of his administration are scattered across the United States of America.

Governor Adeleke is ashamed to face the Osun people that one year after, his promise of making Osun another Dubai has been seen as a fluke told by a scoundrel and conman’ he added.

The party also alleged that Governor Adeleke has failed to provide support for the citizens in the face of economic hardships occasioned by removal of fuel subsidy and also misused the N9billion that was received from the Federal Government.

‘Adeleke is afraid to face the anger of Osun people that while a serious state like Ogun is investing in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, which is capable of making cost of transportation cheaper, Adeleke in a ploy to line his pocket, is putting Osun money in unsustainable diesel-propelled vehicles purchased over 10 years ago’ Lawal said.

The party added that while Governor  Adeleke has been running after investors and business development partners with  no gain, the APC government in Ekiti state has opened up the state with Independent Power Producer (IPP) designed to bring investment and employment to  the Fountain of Knowledge.

The statement also submitted hat Governor Adeleke would be laying a dangerous precedent with his absence in the state while celebrating his first one year in office  as it would be the first time that such  a thing would happen in the history of the state-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
