Osun APC Accuses PDP Of Announcing Peter Babalola’s Suspension After Resigning From Party
Osun state APC on Wednesday morning alleged that Elder Peter Babalola’s suspension from the PDP was unnecessary having earlier dropped his letter of resignation from the party.
Recall that while party officials in Ward 7, Irewole local government , Osun state had announced the decision to suspend Babalola from the PDP on Tuesday, a letter wherein he had disclosed his decision to resign from the party had also surfaced online.
Osun state APC in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its spokesman, Chief Kola Olabisi questioned the appropriateness of the action taken by the Ward 7 PDP officials asserting that Elder Peter Babalola had made his letter of resignation available to the PDP before announcing his suspension from the party.
‘In a dramatic turn of events, Babalola, one of the pillars of the PDP in the state, who hails from Ikire in Irewole Local Government, submitted his letter of resignation to the state chairman of the party in Osogbo, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Surprisingly enough, the state PDP chairman, Mr Sunday Bisi, announced the suspension of Babalola, who until his resignation yesterday was the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Osun state College of Education, Ila-Orangun, after he had turned in his letter of resignation from the party’ the statement said.
‘However, if resignation and suspension from a party is not a strange phenomenon, what is running a riot in the minds of the right-thinking members of the people of Osun state is the propriety of the state PDP chairman announcing the suspension of Dr Peter Babalola after he had turned in his letter of resignation’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
