Osun state APC on Tuesday warned the state PDP against what it called ‘needless heating up of the state polity’ with ‘its barrage of unfounded and fabricated allegations against the ruling party, Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the judiciary’.
Prince Gboyega Famodun’s Media Adviser, Mr Kola Olabisi in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday noted that the conduct of the caretaker committee chairman of the state PDP, Dr Akindele Adekunle, has shown that he has none or little stake in ensuring peaceful atmosphere either in his party or in the state.
Famodun is the Osun state APC Chairman.
The statement disclosed that observations and clinical dissections of Akindele’s vituperations against the APC, the judiciary and the Governor Oyetola administration had showed him as one who is grossly deficient in the residual knowledge of the party .
‘A wide consultation would have afforded Akindele an opportunity to know that it is the Pathfinder faction of the PDP which is his sole employer that is the real political bandit and ruthless hijacker that had sent packing the real owners of the PDP in Osun State.
The totality of the appraisal of the ongoing activities of the PDP in Osun State today is a manifestation of an axiom that it is outrightly impossible for one to give what he does not have.
This fellow leading the PDP in Osun State is a complete stranger , who was only imported to the state for the hatchet job of completely nailing the coffin of the opposition party before it is finally lowered into the grave after which Akindele would run back to his neighbouring Ondo State.
What is crystal clear is that no amount of distractions from the opposition would be capable of distracting Governor Oyetola from discharging his statutory roles in the state and to equally forge ahead with his lawful means of exposing to the whole world that the PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, did not win the July 16, 2022 governorship election.
It was a pity that the handlers of the state PDP are still dubiously talking of having regard for the rule of law when in actual fact they have been doing the opposite since 2018 when they first lost the governorship contest.
The simple interpretation of the ceaseless accusation of stealing of mandate by the Osun PDP with reference to the 2018 governorship election, which was laid to rest in 2019 by the Supreme Court, is that the opposition party is approbating and reprobating at the same time with an accusation that the judiciary didn’t know what it was doing.
The Osun State PDP under the leadership of Dr. Akindele could better be described as a house of commotion where the tail is being strangely made to wag the dog. It is only in the visibly hijacked party that such an abysmal anomaly could happen.
