Osun APC Chairman Becomes New Owa Of Igbajo …Kisses ‘Politics’ Goodbye
Osun state government on Monday announced the appointment of Prince Adegboyega Famodun as new Owa of Igbajo.
The ancient town, Igbajo, which occupies a special place when it comes to the history of Yoruba people and particularly gets remembered for its role in the historic Kiriji War, is in Boluwaduro Local Government area of the state.
Famodun was until his appointment as Igbajo monarch the chairman of Osun state APC. His new status has therefore made him kiss ‘politics’ goodbye as he has to be seen as ‘a father to all’.
Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode announced Famodun’s appointment in a statement issued in Osogbo after the State Executive Council meeting on Monday which was made available to Team@orientactualmags.com .
Recall that the Igbajo throne had become vacant following the passing of Oba Olufemi Fasade on 23rd December 2020.
The statement noted that Prince Famodun was unanimously selected as sole candidate of the Owa Oke-Ode Ruling House during the meeting held on 11th November 2022 while adding that his appointment takes immediate effect- Team@orientactualmags.com
