Osun APC Congratulates ‘Pillar’ Gboyega Oyetola On His 70th Birthday
Osun State APC has sent a message of congratulations to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on his 70th birthday.
Oyetola, who is the leader of the party in the state, was also called ‘pillar’ of the party ‘who has been reinforcing it against disintegration’.
Oyetola, a former governor of Osun State, turns 70 today, Sunday, September 29, 2024.
The state APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, said the minister has proved through his actions and inactions that the interest of the party is foremost among his priorities.
Lawal noted that the current oneness, unity, indivisible and impenetrable posture of the leading opposition party in the state since Oyetola took up the mantle has been due to his being an uncommon manager of human resources through his unique attributes.
He described the ‘Birthday Boy’ as a silent operator who does not give to frivolities and loudness before accomplishing his set target in various spheres of life.
Oyetola, the statement added, has also performed optimally in his ministry where he is the maiden minister because of the inherent discipline and courage to excel anytime he finds himself in a position of authority.
Lawal recalled how the Iragbiji-born Osun State APC leader transformed all the nooks and crannies of the state during his four-year tenure as governor of Osun State despite obvious paucity of fund.
He described Alhaji Oyetola as an uncommon political leader because he belongs to the league of politicians who would never employ lies in his dealings whatever situation he may find himself.
Lawal added that the minister has indeed contributed his quota not only to Osun State but to the entire nation as the first minister in charge of the ministry he currently heads who has been very resourceful and there is no way the history of the nation could be written to be whole without mentioning his name.
Alhaji Oyetola was also described by the party as a man of perpetual peace who abhors violence like a plague in his socio-political and economic pursuit which is a virtue that has been his trademark in his journey of life.
‘It is for these reasons that I am joining the relations, friends, well-wishers and political associates of our leader, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, on behalf of my family, the state executive officers of our party, members and supporters, to congratulate him on his 70th birthday today.
