Osun APC To Gov Adeleke: Making A Big Deal Out Of Getting Armoured Personnel Carriers Repainted ‘Disappointing’

Osun State APC on Tuesday submitted that the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration has given undue importance to getting 11 out of the Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) it had inherited from the Gboyega Oyetola administration ‘repainted’.
‘The Adeleke government, as usual, rolled out the drums in Osogbo, the state capital, on Monday, claiming that the repainting of the 11 armoured military vehicles purchased by the Rauf Aregbesola administration which were properly maintained by the Oyetola administration but willingly abandoned to rust by the embattled Adeleke administration since its inception over two years ago is an achievement.
It is the lack of not knowing what to do in the office that could make a government claim that mere repainting of inherited armoured military vehicles it had willingly abandoned for over two years is a monumental achievement’ the state APC submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its Director of Media and Information, Mr Kola Olabisi on Tuesday.
The party also picked holes in the decision taken to have the APCs emblazoned with the governor’s name.
‘As if the bizarre development in the Adeleke government was not enough, one wonders what could have justified the reason for the confused administration produced by PDP to have settled for the inscription of Governor Adeleke’s name on the said armoured military vehicles that his government merely painted when Aregbesola who originally bought same did not inscribe his name on them and Oyetola who maintained them never toyed with the idea of inscribing his name on them.
We were not surprised at the sharp practices of the Adeleke government as past experiences in the state have shown that it is fond of incubating another administration’s eggs for unmerited glory.
That was how the Governor Adeleke administration repainted inherited three fire trucks, recently, and dubiously lied to the people of the state that his government procured them for the use of the Osun State Fire Service when the truth of the matter was that the inherited three fire trucks were seen at a painter’s workshop beside the Roman Catholic Church, Abidogun area of Ota-Efun, Osogbo, where they were being refurbished.
It would also be recalled that the same Adeleke administration claimed the construction of Osogbo-Ikirun road to hurriedly and deceitfully mark his 100 days in the office when the truth of the matter was that the road project was almost complete but merely left with only laying of asphalt before completion done earlier by the previous administrations’ the party submitted.
The state APC also asserted that the current administration in the state will be sent packing on November 26, 2026 while ‘holistic reconstruction, rehabilitation and reconciliation of the seemingly war-ravaged state of our dream’ would begin.
The party also alleged that Governor Adeleke has been struggling without luck to use the accomplishments of his predecessors to justify the accruable huge funds running into hundreds of billions of naira that his government has received in over two years but which have allegedly been lavishly spent with little or no any tangible and meaningful investment to show for it-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
