Osun APC To Police: Be On Guard, PDP Planning To Stage Demonstration Against Reinstated LG Chairmen, Councilors

Osun State APC has accused the state government of planning to stage a demonstration in the state on Monday which can potentially disrupt the peace of the State of the Living Spring.
The party has therefore asked the good people of the state to be wary of the antics of the ruling party, the PDP.
The protest, APC added, will be organized by PDP members who ‘illegally parade themselves as chairmen and councilors of non-vacant seats in the local government councils across the state’.
‘These government -sponsored jesters allegedly claim to have emerged on 22nd February, 2025, through the charade that was called election purportedly held by yet another wing of the PDP masquerading as the current State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC).
Information at our disposal revealed that the embattled PDP-led state government resorted to planning the protest in order to whip up unmerited sentiment for its members illegally-selected and called the council chairmen and councilors.
This is believed may likely have resultant effect of rocking the peace of the state as there is a precedent of such which occurred on 17th February, 2025 in which one of the reinstated APC local government chairmen was killed.
Furthermore, it is obvious that hoodlums loyal to the PDP may hijack the protest and start attacking all the local government secretariats across the state again.
The make-believe protest may, of course, be made to look like a spontaneous one but its planned hidden motive seems to cause cataclysm across the state during which the reinstated chairmen and councilors with some leaders of the APC may be marked for possible attack.
It was also rumoured that some political thugs have been hired for the protest and asked to work in tandem with the Amotekun Corps under the command of a controversial retired Chief Superintendent of Police who hails from Oyo State and has been doing dirty jobs for his principal dating back from when he was in the service of the police to date’ the party submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its spokesman, Chief Kola Olabisi on Saturday.
APC has urged the state commissioner of police and heads of security agencies in the state to be on guard with a view to ‘curbing the ploy of some disgruntled and selfish political merchants in the state who are desperately hell-bent in heating up the polity more than what is being experienced for no just cause’.
‘Our revered traditional rulers should prevail on their subjects on the need for them not to be willing instruments in the hands of the selfish political functionaries who probably are safekeeping their own children outside the country but are dangling carrots to the unsuspecting innocent children of the downtrodden masses to be used as agents of disorderliness.
Our appeal, as a responsible political party, goes to the parents and guardians to warn their children and wards to desist from being used for nefarious political activities by the spent and drowning political entities who are struggling for already lost relevance.
We want to remind Governor Adeleke and his cohorts that the state is a creation of the law and not their estate which should be run according to their whims and caprices but in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
