Osun APC Wants Profiles Of Gov Adeleke’s Cabinet Nominees Published

Sequel to the 25 cabinet nominations made by Governor Ademola Adeleke last week, the leading opposition party in Osun state, the APC, has tasked the state assembly with publishing the profile of each of the commissioner-nominees in order that they could be assessed by members of the public.
The state APC chairman , Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, noted that ‘it is a norm for the house of assembly to make public the profiles of their would-be commissioners’.
The party noted that though ‘it is the prerogative of the governor to choose members of his cabinet, the citizens however deserve to know them deeply cognizant that they will soon become public officers who would be paid from public funds.
‘Now that the governor and the PDP have stated that their commissioner-nominees are those who have made their marks in their chosen professions and endeavours, it will be proper for the House of Assembly to publish their profiles for us to know the level of their capability.
It would be recalled that the immediate-past administration in the state had published the profiles of its commissioner-nominees for the public to see.
It won’t take anything away from the Adeleke administration and the House of Assembly to make the profiles of the commissioner-nominees public.
We want to know their level of education and the experience they have garnered over the years as professionals in their various fields.
