Osun: Gov Adeleke Delivers 1st Budget Speech, Proposes N273. 9b For Fiscal Year 2024
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has proposed N273, 908, 997, 410:00 billion for the fiscal year 2024.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the governor disclosed this while delivering his budget speech on the floors of the state House of Assembly in Osogbo on Thursday.
It was the first budget speech of his governorship. Adeleke was sworn in as governor of Osun state on Sunday, November 27, 2022 .
Governor Adeleke noted that the recurrent expenditure is N165, 654, 976, 700:00, while the capital expenditure is N108, 254, 020, 710:00.
He has also called it ‘Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery’ noting that it aims to rebuild the economy of the state.
The governor thanked members of the House of Assembly for their understanding and assured them that the state would progress under his leadership while urging continued support for his administration.
Also speaking, Speaker Adewale Egbedun said the parliament is ready to collaborate with the Executive arm of government to ensure the successful implementation of the budget while assuring that the budget would address the challenges faced by the state-Team@orientactualmags.com
