Osun Gov Thanks Citizens For Their Support At Ramadan Lecture Held In Honour Of  Adeleke Family In Ede

Governor Ademola Adeleke has again expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Osun state for  giving him  overwhelming support  in  the governorship election held on July 16 , 2022, pledging that he will  never disappoint them.

Adeleke’s spokesman, Mr Olawale Rasheed in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday noted that the governor said this while giving his speech during  the annual Ramadan lecture held in honour  of the Adeleke family   in Ede.

Recalling the travails he had undergone in his journey to the governorship of Osun state, the governor thanked his family members, friends, party members and associates for their trust and belief in his destiny and capacity to lead Osun state to greater heights.

While thanking Imam Hamodu Tijani Babatunde Akede, the guest lecturer, and the Adeleke General Summit that organized the programme, Governor Adeleke ,who became emotional  while talking about his eventual emergence as  first citizen  of Osun state, said  the citizens had  demonstrated uncommon love and support at every moment of his political journey.

‘I cannot stop thanking the good people of Osun state. From 2018 when we were denied the governorship to the July 2022 election, it was God and Osun people. After our July victory, Osun voters again honored me and my party with landslide wins at federal and state elections. It is unprecedented.

 I promise once again ,never to disappoint our people. I am governing the state with an eye on my electoral promises. Every inch of the way, we will keep faith with the aspirations and wishes of our people. Despite the poor state of finance inherited from my predecessor, we are resolved to ensure the dividends of democracy are delivered. This is a true government of the people, for the people and by the people’ he said.

Flanked by the Senator -elect , Osun West, Dr Lere Oyewumi, his wife, Mrs. Tiltilayo Adeleke, Rep Bamidele Salam and other party chieftains, the  governor urged the people not to relent in their prayers for the state and his administration while assuring them that  ‘we will not for a minute do anything against public good.

I  have made a vow to God and the people to serve truly and sincerely. Our programmes and policies will target only public good. Wherever the people are, that is where you will find me, my team and my party’ he added.

The event that was graced by top government and party functionaries witnessed a landmark lecture centering on a film the preacher  called ‘Eyiyato’ which described the divine journey of Governor Adeleke to power through a network of actors, producers, fans and marketers which include the governor himself, his Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye, Dr Deji Adeleke, Yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke – Sanni and a host of other members of the production team from within and outside the ruling party.

‘This film started last year and today we  have unveiled it. It is a story of how Governor Adeleke asked Allah for power last year,  how God assembled executive producers, actors, marketers and promoters for him.
