Osun : Government-Owned Radio, TV Stations Receive Digital Transmitters, Other Equipment Worth N1.2b
Osun state government has taken delivery of digital transmitters and other equipment worth 1.2 billion naira which were procured by the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration for the use of the Osun state Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) and other radio stations owned by the state government.
Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, who is the Commissioner for
Information and Public Enlightenment, noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday that this kind gesture is in line with the avowed commitment of the Adeleke administration to giving the state- owned media outlets comprising OSBC Radio, OSBC Television, Orisun F.M ,Ile Ife and RRS, Iwo, the needed reach, professional standard and cohesion when it comes to modern and efficient broadcast journalism.

‘This administration is further committed to doing everything morally and officially possible to restore the hitherto age- old glory and professionalism associated with Osun state Broadcasting Corporation as a dominant mega broadcast outfit in the South-West.
The equipment comprising two new transmitters and two studios for each of the three radio stations ; the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation in Osogbo, Ile Ife and Iwo is also in furtherance of the Adeleke administration’s commitment to making all the three senatorial districts in the state have a sense of belonging.
With this new development, the first of its kind since the creation of Osun state over three decades ago, the Adeleke government has also brought to reality, the much-sought desire to increase the height of the mast of the Iwo Reality Radiovision from 200 ft to 300 ft in order to ensure a wider reach of the Station beyond Osun and Oyo states.
The problem of epileptic power supplies confronting the OSBC and hampering uninterrupted transmission will also become a thing of the past.
Finally, it is the belief of His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ademola Adeleke that, with this kind gesture and a promise to do more by his administration, the board, management, and staff of OSBC will justify the huge investment of government through better productivity and proper maintenance of the transmitters and studio equipment.
The project cost is 1.2billion, including pre-shipment inspection visit to Italy, training, insurance, renovation of the existing studio and transmitter halls, and installation as well as the mast for RRS, Iwo’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
