Osun Governor Confirms Withdrawal Of DSS Officers From Govt House , Says  ‘No Cause For Alarm’

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state on Sunday confirmed  the withdrawal of  some among the security agents  tasked with providing security  for him while noting however that ‘there is no cause for alarm’.

‘The attention of the Osun State Government has been drawn to  the media report on the alleged withdrawal of security personnel from Governor Ademola Adeleke. 

We want to clarify that it was a minor disagreement between the Department of State Services, DSS officers , and the Police officers among members of the security team. 

The matter has been reported to the headquarters of the two security agencies for resolution. The issue is being sorted out.

We reassure members of the public that there is no cause for alarm. Your Governor is fully secured and governance is proceeding without let or hindrance’ Adeleke’ s spokesman, Mallam Olawale Rasheed submitted in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday.

Your darling medium reliably gathered that at the start of this administration last month, the police and the DSS officers had been locked in a battle for control of the governor’s security and  contrary to media reports  and the insinuations in some quarters , Adeleke’s sister ; Mrs. Dupe Adeleke- Sanni was not in any way involved neither was any security agent insulted.

It was learned that a DSS Officer and a police officer had both wanted to get appointed as Chief Security Officer and eventually  a police officer, Omoyele was named as Chief Security Officer.

To pacify the contender, he was named as Principal Security Officer and all the security agents providing security for the governor had thenceforth begun to work together as a team until an incident was recorded on Wednesday.

Sources told  Team@orientactualmags.com that the governor had visited some places and returned to the Imole House, Osogbo which had served as Governor’s office since his becoming the Chief Executive of the state and to the consternation of the DSS officers, they had on arrival at the temporary Governor’s office discovered that  new faces ,who are police officers from the state SIB, had taken over their seats and this led to a heated exchange.

The governor had later met with all the security agents and urged them to work together as a team..

The DSS headquarters in Abuja   has however wielded the big stick and had all its officers withdrawn  from the Government House.

 This decision also affected the deputy governor and the First Lady as the DSS officers providing security for them were made to leave and had since returned to the state headquarters- Team@orientactualmags.com
