Osun Govt Names Raphael  Ademola  As  New Aree Of Iree, Announces  Appointment Of 4 Other Traditional Rulers

Osun state government has announced the appointment of Prince Raphael Oluponle Ademola as the new Aree of Iree,  Boripe Local Government.

The government noted that this was done sequel to his securing a majority vote  during the  meeting held by the Iree kingmakers  to choose a new traditional ruler for the town.

Ademola’s appointment also followed legal clearance by the Ministry of Justice and  the approval by the governor, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola

Recall that the  Iree throne had   become vacant on July 8, 2018 following the passing of  Oba Jimoh Olayoonu Olatoyan . 

Announcing the appointment of the new Aree of Iree after the  State Executive Council meeting on Monday,  the state government in a statement made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode, also announced  the appointment of four other traditional rulers  in the state.

The  Loja Adedapo Samson Adewuyi, the Likure of Odogbo-Ijesha, in Atakumosa East Local Government Area, was also elevated to Part II recognized Chieftaincy in accordance with Section 3(a) of the Chiefs, Law, Cap 25, Laws of the State of Osun, 2002.

Prince Adebanjo Adebayo Joseph was announced as the new Alajido of Ajido-Ijesa in Atakumosa East Local Government,  after getting a popular vote  during  the meeting held by Ajido-Ijesa  kingmakers  on August 9, 2022. The Ajido -Ijesha throne had become vacant on December 15, 2021 as a result of the demise of Oba Adebanjo Michael Ayobami.

Prince Oluwabusola Idowu Oyewale Oloyede was also  announced as new Alakinlalu of Akinlalu in Ife North Local Government, following his appointment in accordance with the 2005 Alakinlalu of Akinlalu Registered Chieftaincy Declaration.

Prince Abidogun Hamzat Mukahil was also announced as the new Alawuje of Awuje in Iwo West Local Council Development , sequel to  his earning  a majority vote during the meeting of Awuje kingmakers on September 7, 2022- he got five out of eight votes.
