Osun Guber: APC Cautions Accord Party Against Posting Unverified Results As Imole Campaign Council Urges Oyebamiji To Concede Defeat

Osun Guber: APC Cautions Accord Party Against Posting Unverified Results As Imole Campaign Council Urges Oyebamiji To Concede Defeat

Osun State APC on Saturday night urged members of the ruling Accord Party to desist from feeding members of the public with false results of the guber election held on Saturday.

The party noted that only the nation’s electoral umpire, INEC can announce and declare results.

‘It is disheartening that members and supporters of the Accord Party in the state could brazenly descend to the dangerous arena of criminally and illegally assuming the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by declaring fake election results from the various wards in the state.

It is a statement of fact that INEC is the only corporate body constitutionally empowered to conduct and duly declare the results of the election which translates to the fact that election results from other sources apart from the nation’s electoral umpire could be described as an illegality.

Members of the public should therefore keep watch of the misinformation about the governorship results as such is capable of plunging the state into avoidable crisis’ the party submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its spokesman, Chief Kola Olabisi on Saturday night.

 .

The statement also warned that the posting of unverified results is potentially explosive.

‘It is equally important for the police to urgently delve into the matter in order to make some of those publishing the falsehoods through the social media scapegoats.

A keen watcher of the development would agree with the observation and conclusion that the publication of the false election results by the Accord Party members and supporters was a prearranged and coordinated exercise by the handlers of the Accord Party in the state to cause confusion.

For God sake, why is it impossible for the Accord Party handlers  to play politics by the rules as the INEC has been warning copiously that it wasn’t the business of anyone other than the national electoral umpire to release and declare the election results.

Governor Ademola Adeleke should be held responsible should there be a post-election crisis which is being stylishly promoted by the governor and his co-travelers, as findings showed that some of the disgruntled politicians of the Accord Party extraction have illegally enlisted the services of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to cause political crisis in the state with special reference to the churning out of fake election results.

We are enjoining our members and supporters in the state and beyond to continue to go about their businesses in peace and refuse to be distracted by the illegal activities of the political bandits who are hell-bent in plunging the state into avoidable political crisis for selfish reasons’ the statement added.

In the meanwhile, The Imole Campaign Council (TICC)  has urged the state APC gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and concede defeat.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its spokesman, Mr Pelumi Olajengbesi, TICC asserted that from the computation of results received from across the state by the IMOLE Situation Room, Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Accord Party have won the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

‘The figures collated from the polling stations and wards clearly showed that the people of Osun State have renewed their mandate for Governor Adeleke.

The will of the people, as expressed through their votes, is clear and must be respected. We therefore urge the APC candidate to put on the noble garment of a democrat, accept the verdict of the electorate and concede defeat. Osun State is bigger than anyone’s political ambition.

An election is a contest in which the winner is decided by the electorate, not imposed on them. Saturday’s election represents the verdict of the people of Osun State, and that verdict must not be subverted through criminally manufactured or manipulated figures, the deployment of so called ‘federal might’ or political affiliation with the centre’ he said.

The campaign organization also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain faithful to the results from the polling stations and ensure that the will of the Osun people, freely expressed at the ballot, is protected throughout the collation and declaration process.

‘The people of Osun State have spoken clearly. Their votes must count, their choice must be respected, and their mandate must not be altered’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
