Ahead of November 27 2022, the inaugural committee set up by Osun state Governor-elect , Chief Ademola Adeleke and asked to be in charge of the upcoming swearing-in ceremony and all activities connected with it, has given an overview of the schedule of events for the inaugural ceremony.
Adeleke would be having two key achievements under his belt ; becoming the sixth civilian governor of Osun state and the second among his siblings to become the Chief Executive of the state .
Chairman of the committee , Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, submitted during the press conference he presided over in Osogbo on Sunday night which was attended by journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com that ‘the long -awaited day of joy for the people of Osun State, 27th November 2022 is around the corner’.
He also accused the Governor Gboyega Oyetola administration of not cooperating with the Adeleke’s transition committee.
‘History, time and records would not forget the vindictive, embittered and uncooperative behaviour of the outgoing government towards a seamless transition from the ruling APC to the incoming PDP government. In spite of the above, a week-long event has been scheduled to usher in the people’s government in Osun state’ he said.
Jenyo also gave an overview of the schedule of events.
‘As strong believers in the power and grace of God, the activities will be preceded by an interfaith prayer service while a Public Lecture titled ‘LIGHT UPON OSUN’ will also be delivered by Emeritus Archbishop Lawrence Sanda Ayoladigbolu .
While the week-long event will be rounded off with a Jumat Service and Inauguration Thanksgiving Church Service, other swearing-in programmes include Novelty Football Match and ‘Inauguration Ball’, sponsored by friends of His Excellency, among others’ he submitted.
The top politician also commented on what an Adeleke administration represents.
‘It promises to be a fulfilling new dawn of a renewed hope, happiness and prosperity of the state as Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke’s five-point agenda is all-encompassing to drive the wellbeing and prosperity of the people.
Adequate provision for workers’ welfare, boosting State economy by Business Partnering and support for SMEs and Osun funds serving Osun people through grown infrastructure policy are key impetus towards unrivalled and rapid development.
