Osun LG Chairman, Jimoh Oyekanmi, Dies In Ede…Gov Adeleke Offers Condolences
Members of Osun state PDP, family members, friends, and residents of Ede North local government spoke in sepulchral tones and had mournful facial expressions as the news of the death of Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi spreads on Tuesday.
The deceased politician had given no one signs of imminent departure from the planet earth, there was actually no cause for concern as he was hale and hearty.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Oyekanmi was in his office on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, he reportedly complained that he was feeling feverish, and sadly, he died at about 6.30 pm.
His house is located opposite the NYSC Camp, Ede .
Governor Ademola Adeleke has since mourned the death of his kinsman and loyalist, and he has sent his condolences . The governor noted that he was deeply shaken to learn about the demise of Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi, who was until death on Tuesday, the Chairman ,Caretaker Committee, Ede North Local Government.
‘The sudden death of Alhaji Oyekanmi is devastating, not just to his family, but also Osun state, particularly Ede North Local Government, who have been denied the service of trusted hand in delivering good governance.
Alhaji Jimoh was a politician with a purpose, always prioritizing the good of all above his personal interest in every situation. During the struggle for the enthronement of the Imole government, Alhaji Jimoh showed discipline and unimaginable sacrifices.
Alhaji Jimoh was a long-time member of the Adeleke political dynasty, but he was much more than that to me. He was loyal to a fault and more, reliable, no matter the circumstances.
Alhaji Jimoh’s impact on Osun politics, particularly in Ede North, where he was a strong grassroots mobilizer for our great party, the PDP, is hard to miss. Ede town, and the PDP, has lost one of its finest, and I mourn this huge loss of a man who has contributed so much to the society.
My heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the people of Ede North, the PDP family, and everyone touched by his demise. It is my prayer that Almighty Allah comforts his family and loved ones and gives them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
May Allah Subhana watahala be pleased with his soul and grant him Aljanah Fridaus. Amin’ he submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com
