Osun Parliament Confirms OSJSC,OSIEC,OSCSC, Assembly Commission Nominees

Osun state House of Assembly on Monday, November 13, 2023, confirmed the 22 people that were nominated as members of statutory bodies by Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke last week.

Speaker Adewale Egbedun’s  Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olamide Tiamiyu, who disclosed this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com ,quoted the head of legislature to have  submitted that this was done  ‘to enhance seamless operations in the statutory bodies’ adding that the credentials of the nominees have been screened by the Adhoc committee constituted by the House for that purpose, ‘ it is important and urgent for the House to confirm them’, he noted.

 The statement added that  the Speaker has  urged  the Chairmen and members of the commissions to do everything within their powers to justify the trust and the confidence the governor has reposed in them as well as the good people of the state. 

‘Confirmed on Monday are the chairmen and members of the Osun State Judicial Service Commission, Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, Osun State Civil Service Commission and Osun State House Of Assembly Commission.

You will recall that Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun had on Thursday, 9th November, 2023 read out the letter sent to the Assembly by the Executive Governor requesting for the confirmation of the nominees in line with the constitution during a plenary session.
