‘With a heavy heart, Osun PDP wishes to announce the passing of our father and leader, one of the strong pillars of our great party in the state, High Chief Adebayo Ajeigbe, who just rested with his creator today.
To say Baba’s passing was shocking would be an understatement. His passing today confirms the supremacy and unpredictability of God, the creator of all. We however bow to Him at this time, the giver and taker of life.
We take painful solace in the fact that those we love because they first loved us, can never be more than a thought away. So, for as long as there’s a memory, they live on in our hearts. For us in Osun PDP, Baba Ajeigbe falls into this category and therefore, his memories of love for us and Osun State will stick forever.
In the mean time, the chairman of our great party in Osun State, Dr Akindele Adekunle, has directed that all flags at the State secretariat of our party, as well as PDP offices in all the 30 local governments in Osun State be flown at half mast for seven days commencing from today.
The Chairman has equally directed that a book of condolence be made available immediately at the state secretariat of the party in Osogbo and in all the local governments in Osun Central Senatorial District , while concerned administrative officers are directed to assume responsibilities accordingly.
While our great party deeply shares this moment of grieve with the wife and children of our great leader, we would respectfully defer to the immediate family on activities that have to do with rites of passage. Osun PDP will keep leaders and teeming members of our party adequately posted as events unfold on this great loss to our political Family.
Though, the loss can feel immeasurable, but so can the love that Baba Ajeigbe left behind. His heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved.
May Baba enjoy eternal peace with his creator. Adieu’ the party submitted- Team@orientactualmags.com
