Osun PDP Mourns Ifeanyi Davido, Suspends  Political Activities For One Week

Osun state PDP on Tuesday offered its condolences to the Adeleke family over the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of  David Adeleke ‘Davido’,  a popular hip hop act,  describing this as a sad development.

 Lagos state police  command  had earlier in the day confirmed the death of Ifeanyi .

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin  had added that  the police were already investigating Ifeanyi’s death.

Davido and his fiancé, Chioma Rowland were away from the house when the boy drowned in a pool at  the family’s  Banana Island residence on Monday

‘Domestic staff at Davido’s home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest” Benjamin Hundeyin said.  

Osun state PDP in a statement made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com by the 

State Caretaker Chairman , Dr Adekunle Akindele  had since  directed all party organs and committees to suspend political activities in commiseration with the  Adeleke family, describing the incident as ‘a very sad occurrence’.

‘We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day but we remain steadfast in our faith in the Lord of the Universe.

Our condolences go out  to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father -figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss’  the statement concluded-  Team@orientactualmags.com
