Oyetola, Basiru List President Tinubu’s Accomplishments As Osun APC Endorses Him For 2nd Term

Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Gboyega Oyetola and APC National Secretary, Barrister Basiru Ajibola awarded the current administration at the federal level ‘high marks’ after carrying out a midterm assessment of the President Bola Tinubu administration on Saturday.

Addressing party members and supporters during the defection ceremony of two senators and three members of the House of Representatives from Osun State at the Freedom Park, Osogbo, on Saturday. the Blue Economy minister asserted that successes are evident at the federal level under President Bola Tinubu while urging continued support for his administration.

Recall that Senator Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East), Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi (Osun Central), Rep Sanya Omirin (Ijesha South federal constituency), Rep Wole Oke (Ijesha North federal constituency) and Rep Taofeeq Ajilesoro (Ife federal constituency), had last year announced their decision to leave PDP for APC.

 Mr Gboyega Oyetola submitted that President Bola Tinubu at the start of his administration took some bold decisions and carried out reforms that are already yielding positive results.  He noted that foreign exchange stability has improved, shortage of fuel at retail outlets which had in the past resulted in long queues has been addressed , fuel importation has reduced significantly while the nation’s  refining capacity has gotten transformed.

The Tinubu administration is also according to him implementing a major overhaul of road infrastructure, while the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has supported indigent students through interest-free loans.

Submitting that new investment commitments that are over $50 billion has reflected renewed global confidence, he also cited introduction and implementation of N70,000 new national minimum wage  and provision of funds for business owners and vulnerable people who are receiving necessary support through relevant agencies.

Mr Oyetola added that there has also been a massive surge in FAAC (Federation Account Allocation Committee) disbursements while state and local governments are now empowered to deliver dividends of democracy.

Speaking in the same vein, APC National Secretary, Barrister Basiru Ajibola submitted that the current administration at the federal level has done creditably well adding that President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term in office.

‘In just less than three years, the nation’s  foreign reserve has increased to 49 billion dollars , before the President Bola Tinubu administration came into being, people spent days and nights at filling stations ahead of sallah and yuletide periods which is now a thing of the past. Before now, parents, who are poor, will have no option than to obtain loans to sponsor their children in university but now through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), access to tertiary education has been made easy, and beneficiaries of the student loan are now over 600,000, in an unprecedented development, there has also been a massive surge in FAAC (Federation Account Allocation Committee) disbursements and state and local governments are expected to improve the lives of citizens.

The current administration has also done well in the road sector and even introduced reinforced concrete technology for durability. I saw this on Akure-Ibadan expressway’ he added.

Also speaking, Osun State APC gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji submitted that Nigeria is currently witnessing a bold and transformative leadership at the federal level courtesy of President Bola Tinubu.

He praised his courageous economic reforms and strategic policy decisions that have according to him rescued states from  the burden of unsustainable debts and placed them firmly on sound  footing.

Team@orientactualmags.com reports that the event reached its climax at 3.44 pm when the Chairman of Osun State APC Elders Forum, Chief Sola Akinwusi moved a motion that the state APC should endorse President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office which was seconded by a veteran politician, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun.

‘President Tinubu has done so well. He deserves a fresh term in 2027 and I move the motion that we should endorse him for a second term in office’ Chief Sola Akinwusi submitted while Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun emphasized the need to allow President Bola Tinubu to continue the numerous developmental initiatives of his administration and support his 2027 re-election bid.
