Oyetola Condoles Chairman Of Osun Correspondents’ Chapel Over Father’s Death

Former governor of Osun State, who is currently the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy,  Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, has mourned the passing of Alhaji Musa Olohunlogaju Abubakar, who died on Wednesday and was buried on Thursday, November 20, 2025, in Osogbo, Osun State capital. 

The late Islamic cleric, an illustrious son of Osogbo, is the father of Mr. Shina Abubakar, Osun State  correspondent of the Vanguard Newspaper, who is also the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State council.

The minister in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his media office described the death of the late Alhaji Abubakar as a great loss to the state, the entire family and the Muslim community in Osogbo.

He also described the late Abubakar as a devout Muslim and an entrepreneur who devoted his life to productive ventures and showed his children the path to success.

 ‘I received with great shock the news of the passing of your father, the late Alhaji Musa Olohunlogaju Abubakar who died on Wednesday. Although he was an old man, the death of a beloved father is usually devastating no matter how old he may be.

However, being a devout Muslim, I want you to be consoled by the fact that your beloved father lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation by every Muslim desirous of a worthy end.

Allah will comfort you, your other siblings and the Muslim community in our dear state. His death is no doubt a heavy loss to the family and the entire Muslim community.

I pray that Allah will grant him Al-janat Firdaus and I pray that Allah will give you, your siblings and the entire Muslim community in Osogbo in particular, and Osun State in general, the courage and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
