Palace Guard Trampled To Death While Trying To Stop Horse Riding Event In Jigawa
Abdulhadi Mana, who was trying to stop a horse riding event in Gumel, Jigawa State, has been trampled to death by horses.
He was until his death on Saturday, one of the palace guards in Gumel.
The incident reportedly happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zakazola Makama, disclosed this in an X.com post on Sunday.
He noted that the ‘horse procession’ jointly led by Ibrahim Gwani and Goni, who are indigenes of Gumel town, was held without any official approval which made the Emir’s Palace to send guards to disperse the crowd.
‘Tragically, one of the palace guards, Abdulhadi Mana, was knocked down by galloping horses during the attempt to restore order. He was immediately rushed to Gumel General Hospital for treatment, where he was confirmed dead’ he submitted quoting a police source.
