People Assume That Nigeria Is Rich But It’s ‘Incorrect Assumption’-Presidency

The presidency submitted on Monday that though citizens may have assumed that Nigeria is rich, this is however an incorrect assumption because the nation is ‘a very very poor country’, cognizant of its low per capita income, when compared to other African nations.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy , Mr. Bayo Onanuga, said this while appearing as a Special Guest on Arise TV’s Prime Time on Monday.

‘Nigeria is a very very poor country, to be honest. I think our wealth is overestimated’ he said

‘I think we have a poor estimation of the wealth of the country, we are a very poor country’ Onanuga also submitted while responding to a question on the state of economy and the Tinubu administration’s efforts to ensure stability,

With the removal of subsidy on petrol and the unification of the exchange rate, the Tinubu administration, he noted, ‘is hoping that the pressure on our finances will reduce’.
He also said all federal workers have received their salary.

‘’The office of the AGF has said there is a challenge with the platform being used to disburse the salaries.
