Peter Obi ‘ll Not Be Our Presidential Candidate In 2027-LP National Publicity Secretary

National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Abayomi Arabambi, has submitted that while the party will field a candidate for the 2027 presidential election, former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi will however not be allowed to run on the party’s ticket.

Recall that Mr Peter Obi was the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mr Abayomi Arabanbi, who said this while featuring on Channels Television’s Lunchtime Politics programme on Monday, also declared that the party will survive without the former governor ,LP acting National Chairperson, Nenadi Usman, an activist Aisha Yesufu and others.

 ‘We are going to do our 2027 without Peter Obi; he will not have our presidential nomination.

 Our plan is to get rid of these elements—people who are just an epitome of political extremism. We don’t want them in Labour Party.

Now that they said they are going to ADC, we wish them well. Obi has one leg in Labour Party, one leg in PDP, and one leg in ADC’ he said.

Mr Abayomi also threw down a challenge by asking Mr Peter Obi to leave the LP if he can.

‘If he believes he has that proficiency on his own to have seven million votes in 2027 general election, we advise him to pronounce his departure from Labour Party.

The momentum in 2023 was not because of Peter Obi, but because of EndSARS. Obi was just a man who came to whip as a result of Nigeria’s tiredness of the scandalous administration of Buhari during the EndSARS.

He only found Labour Party as that vehicle that can provide that change, and he was just opportune to be the head’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com
