Peter Obi Mourns Passing Of Kola Alagbada…Funeral Holds October 3rd … Kwara, Lagos ‘Big Boys’ Offer Condolences
Former governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi, has mourned the passing of Mr. Kolawole Olatunbosun Alagbada, a Labour Party bigwig.
Mr. Peter Obi, who was the LP presidential candidate in the presidential election held on February 25 , 2023, has called Alagbada a very principled man and a patriot.
‘On behalf of my family, I commiserate with the Alagbada family over the passing on to glory of Mr. Kola Alagbada, an Investment broker and a firm believer in the vision of New Nigeria. Mr. Alagbada’s death is a very painful one.
He was a very principled man and a patriot who always stood for what was right. I pray God to grant him eternal rest, and grant fortitude to his family and all of us who mourn him to bear his irreplaceable loss’ Obi said.
Described as a jolly good fellow, the upwardly mobile late Alagbada , who died in Lagos last week after a short illness, built an extensive and strong network of friends in the country.
One of his siblings is Lagos Big Girl ,Lara Alagbada while one of his best of buddies is a prominent indigene of Ilorin, Alhaji Mohammed Gobir aka Bejiba.
Kola Alagbada, who was nicknamed as Gbington, was retired Air Vice Marshall John Femi’s son -in –law and his funeral will hold in Lagos on October 3, 2023.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the hardworking and resourceful Kola Alagbada is survived by his mother, wife and children.
Pastor Itua Ighodalo, Chief Femi Otedola, Mr Tayo Ayeni, Dr Dotun Ransome Kuti, Dr Kweku Tandoh, Yeni Anikulapo Kuti, Femi Anikulapo Kuti, Wale Tinubu, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Pastor Wale Adefarasin, Chike Ogeah, Dakova, Mohammed Babangida, Dere Otubu and other prominent Nigerians had since sent their condolences.
Alagbada, a renowned investment broker, played an important role and he was actually one of those who ensured that a solid foundation was laid for the success of the Bukola Saraki administration in Kwara state.
Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, a one-time Senate President, served as governor of Kwara state between 2003 and 2011.
The deceased investment broker, served as Dr Bukola Saraki’s Special Adviser on Project Implementation.
The late Mr. Kola Alagbada will also go down in history as one of the people who revived ‘social life’ in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
Enigma Nite Club, Kwara Hotel with Ibunkun Adesigbin ‘in charge’ was then the only functioning club in the state.
