Petition: Adamawa APC Woman Leader Raises Sexual Harassment, Fraud Allegations Against Chairman, Secretary… Urges Ribadu, Others To Clean The Augean Stables

Adamawa State APC Woman Leader, Mrs. Patricia Yakubu has in a petition sent to the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu emphasized the urgent need to put right ‘a dire situation’ in respect of the state of things in the state chapter of the party while accusing some members of the State Working Committee of sidelining her and a few others with regard to the distribution of largesse and funds provided by party bigwigs and government agencies.

She also alleged that the party officials in question received N325 million from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) and pocketed the money.

Mrs. Patricia Yakubu accused the state APC chairman, Bar. Shuaibu Idris and the state Secretary, Dr. Raymond Chidama of being behind the dishonest dealings in the state APC while also accusing Dr. Raymond Chidama of sexual harassment.

Mrs. Patricia in a petition sent to Ribadu titled “A call for urgent intervention: Monumental fraud, misappropriation of party funds to the tune of N500 million, name dropping, intimidation’, which had the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje and Mrs  Remi Tinubu cc’d, emphasized the urgent need to clean out the Augean stables.

Mrs. Patricia Yakubu also alleged that Bar. Shuaibu Idris and Dr. Raymond Chidama are plotting to get her removed from her position while also raising unfounded allegations against her.

‘Your Excellency, I now wish to draw your attention and seek for your intervention as our leader on some very serious financial matters.

Corruption and Criminal misappropriation of Party funds: Payment of =N=25, 000, 000 .00 (Twenty-Five Million Naira) Monthly from TETFund starting from October 2023 till October 2024 totaling Three Hundred and Twenty-Five Million naira (₦325,000,000.00).

The money was meant for the  day-to-day running of party activities in and outside the state. The party’s bank account has been completely abandoned; the Financial Secretary has been removed as a signatory against the party’s constitution. Treasurer has been totally sidelined in all financial dealings.

All Financial transactions are done through an individual’s bank account (account details for investigation available). There was a time that they collected three months at once totaling Seventy-Five Million naira (₦75,000,000.00). Sometimes, these monies are paid through BDCs. All issues about these are kept secret by the Chairman, Secretary and Organizing Secretary, while some party executives and faithful are languishing in abject poverty, cannot afford to pay school fees, their children are at home, some have died because they cannot afford hospital bills.

Contracts from TETFund at FCE Yola and GMMC Yola for the benefit of the party was kept secret. They sold the contracts and concealed the proceeds.

That sometime in December 2023, the former minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman SAN equally gave the Party Executives 15milliion Naira for Christmas but only Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00) was given to each Exco member (which is less than 2 million naira) therefore Forty-Eight Million Naira (₦48,000,000.00) deficit unaccounted for.

That several truck loads of rice and fertilizers were given from the office of the NSA and former Minister of Education respectively as palliative, but they only shared 1 – 2 bags to Excos and sold the remaining thereby committing fraud. (Concrete Evidence will be produced at the appropriate time).

That recently, the Deputy National Chairman North-East Comrade Mustapha Salihu, PhD assisted the entire state Executives with N100 million naira but only N40.5 million was declared at the Secretariat then the remaining remains a secret.

Sir, the above is just the tip of an iceberg – more facts, documentary evidence of receipts and many more frauds shall be unveiled at the appropriate time.

These are criminal acts, and this government abhors corruption. Our leader’s second name worldwide is ‘Anti-corruption Ceaser’. I wish to therefore appeal to you Sir, please, investigate these matters thoroughly before it consume us in APC Adamawa State. Dare to say this is about to blow up on our face Your Excellency; so please do something’ she submitted in her petition which was made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Thursday.

In the meanwhile, the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETfund, has described assertions made by Mrs. Patricia  Yakubu that the agency made the sum of N325 million available to Adamawa State APC as untrue.

Director, Public Affairs of TETFund, Mr Abdulmumin Oniyangi in a statement he issued in Abuja noted that the institution cited by the Adamawa State APC Woman Leader , the General Murtala Mohammed College (GMMC), Yola is not a beneficiary institution of the agency.

TETFUND has also urged members of the public to shun misleading information and statements.

‘The assertion is not only preposterous and totally false, but also a great disservice to the nation that an individual of such political standing, would engage in frivolity without an iota of evidence.

To further buttress the futility of the allegations, we wish to state in clear terms that General Murtala Mohammed College (GMMC), Yola, where TETFund contracts were alleged to have been sold is not a Beneficiary Institution of TETFund’ the statement added while clarifying that the FCE Yola is though a beneficiary institution of TETFfund, it however chooses its contractors in line with the policy of the agency.

‘The Fund has observed that allegations of this nature, sponsored by desperate individuals, have become the trend in recent times but will not be deterred in carrying out its statutory mandate which remains funding for the rehabilitation, restoration and consolidation of tertiary education in Nigeria

We advise that detractors get their facts right so as to avoid misleading the public’ he submitted–Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
