Petrol Subsidy: Kwara PDP Alleges Bias In Distribution Of Food Parcels , Poses 6 Questions To AbdulRazaq Administration
Kwara state PDP on Saturday raised an allegation of bias against the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration with regard to distribution of the bags of rice made available to the state by the Federal Government to ease things for the vulnerable citizens.
The party alleged that it was the same case during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
The Federal Government had made the bags of rice available sequel to the removal of petrol subsidy and its concomitant hardships.
Kwara state PDP in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Saturday by its Publicity Secretary, Prince Tunji Morounfoye, picked holes in the distribution of the 1,200 bags of rice earlier made available to the state government while posing six questions to the Governor Abdul Rahman AbdulRazaq administration.
‘The questions Kwarans want them to answer are;
1) Who distributed the 1,200 bags of rice if it was not the Kwara state APC regime?
2) Who authorized the distribution of the bags of rice?
3) What were the parameters for the distribution of the 1,200 bags of rice?
4) How many bags of rice did each Local government get out of the 1,200 bags of rice and why?
5) How many bags of rice did each senatorial district get out of the 1,200 bags of rice and why?
6) Why was Kwara state given only 1,200 bags of rice?’ the party submitted .
The party also alleged that only APC members in the state were allowed to benefit from the ‘largesse’ saying ‘the initial 1,200 bags of rice was distributed through their party structure’ while adding that ‘this would obviously exclude the PDP members and other Kwarans’.
PDP has urged the state government to ensure that its members and other non –APC members benefit from the new 5 billion Naira support from the Federal Government.
‘This round of relief packages has been broken down into various components for provision of grains including rice for the hungry masses of each state including Kwara state. We can only beg the all-powerful Kwara state APC regime to let this go round, regardless of party affiliation’ the party submitted.
