The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has warned residents of Abuja against accusing members of the public of using ‘supernatural power’ to make them suffer Erectile dysfunction (ED) without having such well-established.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesperson for the command,  Josephine Adeh, a Superintendent of Police, who gave this warning in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, added that such an allegation had led to anxiety and breach of the peace a few days ago.

This warning, she added, was sequel to an incident involving Rokeeb Saheed, who had accused Lucky Josiah of  making him suffer Erectile dysfunction (ED) .

Adeh said that after undergoing medical examination, it was confirmed that nothing was wrong with Saheed, while Josiah, who was earlier injured was taken to the hospital.

 She added that the Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, has said that there would be stringent measures against spreading of such a false information while urging the public not to resort to jungle justice.

The statement added that the command is committed to preserving peace and security.

‘The FCT Police Command cautions residents against sharing false information about the alleged disappearance of  penis in the territory. False rumors lead to public anxiety, and it will cause breach of peace. An incident involving Rokeeb Saheed, who accused Lucky Josiah of making him suffer Erectile dysfunction (ED) prompted this warning. After medical examinations, Saheed was confirmed to be fine, and Josiah’s injuries were treated.

In a similar development, following a distress call that a male adult, name unknown was being lynched by irate young people for alleged disappearance of the penis of one John Ugwu ‘m’ 17yrs on 21/09/2023 at about 1940hrs, in phase 2 Gwagwalada. The Policemen attached to Gwagwalada Police Divisional Headquarters swiftly mobilized to the scene, rescued and rushed him to the hospital for medical attention, where he was later confirmed dead as a result of the severe injury inflicted on him sequel to the false allegation’ the statement added.
