He felicitated Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr, which signifies the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
‘But the end of the holy month of Ramadan is not the end of prayers and supplications. Therefore, we should continue to pray for wisdom for our leaders and for security, prosperity and a peaceful transition for Nigeria’ he said.

To love one another, have compassion, empathy and love our beloved country means we must become better citizens in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammed’ he said.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who was the PDP presidential candidate in the presidential election held on February 25, has also noted that Nigeria needs peace, harmony and justice, but said the reality of divisions in the country has been a cause for concern.
He said the 2023 presidential election outcome had widened the existing divisions in the country, adding that Nigeria’s fate should not be left in the hand of divisive and demagogic politicians.
‘We must be part of the efforts to achieve interfaith dialogue with a view to achieving peaceful coexistence and a clime of love and religious tolerance’ he said.
