President Tinubu, 2 Foreign Leaders, Other Dignitaries Attend Janazah Held For Buhari In Daura…Residents Hold Salat al-Ghaib In Gombe
Former president Muhammadu Buhari , who died in London on Sunday, has been laid to rest in Daura, Katsina State.
His body was interred at 5.50 pm.
President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Umaru Sissoco Embalo of Guinea-Bissau, Prime Minister of Niger Republic, Ali Lamine Zeine, former President of Niger Republic, Issoufou Mahamadou, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, governors ,federal lawmakers and other dignitaries were at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport, Katsina to receive his body while the entire concourse later left for Daura, the former president’s hometown to pay their last respects.


Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Chief Imam of Daura, Sheikh Salisu Rabiu presided over the Islamic funeral prayer (Salatul Janazah) that was held for retired General Muhammadu Buhari at his residence.
The Service Chiefs and top military officers were also on the ground to give the late General military funeral honours including a 21-gun salute.
In the meanwhile, thousands of residents of Gombe gathered at different locations including Pantami Township Stadium to hold Salat al-Gha’ib for the late former president on Tuesday.
They offered solemn prayers and asked Allah to forgive Buhari’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
One of the clerics, Sheikh Usman Bello, described Buhari as a leader who left a lasting legacy in the country.
‘We are here to seek Allah’s mercy for our former president. He served this country with dedication. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him the highest level of paradise’ he said.
