President Tinubu Relooks Allocation Of  Portfolios , Reassigns Oyetola To Blue Economy Ministry…. Asks Ojo To Oversee Interior Ministry

 Ahead of the swearing- in ceremony of members of the new Federal Executive Council, President Bola Tinubu has taken a relook at allocation of portfolios and he has reassigned Engineer Abubakar Momoh   to the Ministry of Niger Delta Development.. He had earlier gotten named as Minister –designate , Ministry  of Youth.

 Immediate past governor of Osun state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, who was earlier named as minister-designate, Ministry of Transportation,  will now be in charge of   the Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy.

This development apparently  showed that the Ministry of Transportation has gotten ‘unbundled’ and  the Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy may get recognized as parent ministry of the  Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) given that ‘blue economy’ means sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth,  and it also centers on preservation and reclamation of the marine environment.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the president’s media aide,  Ajuri Ngelale, who disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja  on Sunday night,   also added that ‘the Federal Ministry of Youth is to be re-assigned to a minister-designate’’.

‘Adegboyega Oyetola is redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Marine & Blue Economy.

Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo is redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Interior. Hon. Sa’idu Alkali is redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Transportation.

Furthermore, both Ministers of State in the Oil & Gas sector are now domiciled in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources with the following designations:

Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources

Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo is the Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources

The President approves the renaming of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management as the Federal Ministry of Environment.
