President Tinubu Suspends AbdulRasheed Bawa As EFCC Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has approved the indefinite suspension of the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), AbdulRasheed Bawa from  his position.

 The president noted that this was done  to allow proper investigation into his conduct while in office.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned this was disclosed in a statement by the Director of Information at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey.

The statement noted that  ‘weighty’ allegations of abuse of office have been leveled against him.

‘Mr. Bawa has been directed to immediately handover the affairs of his office to the Director, Operations at  the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigation’  the statement  added.

It was reported that the embattled Bawa was earlier in the day seen at the State House where  he had gone for a meeting with the President- Team@orientactualmags.com
