
Kwara state has been rated the best in the North Central geo-political zone when it comes to basic healthcare delivery.

A Government House, Ilorin statement which was made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Kwara state won the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF)’s Primary Healthcare Leadership Challenge award at an event held in Abuja on Wednesday night, adding that this was done in recognition of the improvements recorded in the health sector in the last four years.
‘The NGF Primary Health Care Leadership Challenge was consummated in 2019 as part of the ‘Seatle Declaration’, which assesses overall performance of primary healthcare delivery using indicators like ‘government’s support and commitment, quality of service delivery, improvement in the health indices and outcomes, community participation and ownership, among others’ the statement said.
‘Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Razaq and the Executive Secretary of the Kwara state Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Nusirat Elelu received the award on behalf of the state.
