Qur’an Competition: 2 Kwarans Emerge As Runners- Up In Zamfara

Two participants from Kwara State have emerged as runners-up in two categories at the just concluded National Qur’an Recitation Competition which was held in Gusau, Zamfara State.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Mariyam Issa- Onilu won second place in 10 hizb (female category), why Sherifdeen Zakariyah Akorede also won second place in 20 hizb- (male category).
The spokesman for the Qur’an Recitation Committee in Kwara State, Imam Nuhu Abass, said all other participants from the state also performed wonderfully at the Qur’an Competition while adding that they had since returned to Ilorin, the state capital on Tuesday via Green Africa Airline.
Abass, expressed the committee’s gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for their moral and financial support, especially for ensuring that the participants and officials traveled to and from Gusau by air.
He hailed the fatherly role of the chairman of the state’s committee on Qura’n recitation competition, Alh Shehu AbdulGafar before and after the competition.
Abbas also commended all members of the committee and coordinators of the 16 local governments in the state for their commitment, support and cooperation throughout their stay in Gusau- Team@orientactualmags.com
