Reasons Why Alabi Pasuma Was Attacked By Thugs In Ikire

Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma is one of the popular fuji musicians in the country and he has a very strong and devoted fan base.
The popular musician was in Ikire, Irewole local government, Osun State on Friday, May 15, 2025, to perform at the chieftaincy reception held by Chief Wasiu Kayode Ajanaku, who was installed as Mogbede of Ikire.
As Pasuma was leaving the venue, his hilux jeep car and the hummer bus conveying his band members were attacked by thugs.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the event was held at the GT Hall, Agala area of Ikire.
GT Hall was built by owner of the popular Greater Tomorrow International College, Ikare Akoko, Ondo State, Chief J.O. Lawal, who died on August 20, 2021.
Sources told Team@orientactualmags.com that the leaders of thugs in the town who were ‘seen’ before the programme started, excluded some people and did not extend the ‘largesse’ to them while some also said it was because the organizers chose to hold the programme in a hall rather than an open field.
‘It is not that the people of Ikire and other towns in the area do not like Pasuma, no, not at all.
It was just that the thugs were not comfortable with the restrictions attendant with having an event in a hall, they would have preferred an open field.
Last year, Pasuma was in Ikire’s neighbour, Apomu to perform at the fidau and funeral reception held for late Iyasuna of Apomu, mother of a USA-based Big Boy, Opeyemi Akiniyi.
Late Sheikh Muhideen Ajani Bello was the Guest Lecturer at the fidau and Pasuma attended the fidau before it got to his turn to perform, nobody attacked him.
The venue was an open field and nobody complained’ said a source-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme? Kindly send SMS to 08059100286, 09094171980 or get in touch via orientactualmag@gmail.com. Thank you
