Rep Bamidele Salam’s Social Media Comments On ‘Defection’ Not ‘In Tune With Reality’-Osun APC

Rep Bamidele Salam’s Social Media Comments On ‘Defection’ Not ‘In Tune With Reality’-Osun APC

Osun State APC on Friday reacted to social media comments made by a PDP big wig in the state, Rep Bamidele Salam about rumours that Governor Ademola Adeleke has defection to APC ‘under consideration’.

Rep Salam ,who represents Ede South/Ede North/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, had on Thursday submitted that it wasn’t true that Governor Ademola Adeleke is contemplating the idea of defecting to the  APC and noted that rather it was the APC leaders who have been pressurizing and making overtures to the governor.

‘Governor Adeleke has never expressed any intention to move to the APC rather it is the top leaders of the party asking him to come and he has consistently told them ‘No’, the party quoted Rep Salam as saying.

‘It was at the realm of incredulity that we placed the statement credited to the federal lawmaker at the onset but we are sufficiently convinced that he actually made the statement because he hasn’t denied the same since it has become a subject of discussion in the public domain.

The statement credited to Salam if it was from the bottom of his heart has portrayed him as a complete stranger to the wobbled and sinking Governor Adeleke administration and the contemporary issues not within the PDP in the state but within the Adeleke political dynasty that is feeling where the shoe pinches’ Osun State APC submitted in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its spokesman, Chief Kola Olabisi on Friday.

The party also submitted that the federal lawmaker may have made the assertions in question simply as tools to self-soothe.

‘We see the controversial statement of the PDP lawmaker as a self-consolation as his re-election bid is predicated on the outcome of the re-election of Governor Adeleke who is currently coming to terms with the reality that the days of  his tenancy at the seat of power at the Bola Ige House are numbered.

What is there to be a source of attraction in the Osun State chapter of the PDP which has become a carcass and in disarray of irredeemable proportion to have warranted the leadership of the thriving APC at all levels of its leadership to be wooing an identified political liability in Osun State to its folds?

Salam’s postulation on the issue at stake does not add up as it is practically impossible for an opposition party which has been harvesting almost all the frontline players in the so-called ruling party on daily basis due to ineptitude, mis-governance and administrative missteps to be making overtures to a political handicap.

We are aware of the fact that there are different layers of authorities in any organization where crucial decisions considered beneficial to such an organization are made to the knowledge of those who are thought necessary to be in the know of.

It is either Salam is trying to be clever by half or deliberately playing a hanky-panky game over the issue at stake in order to please the deciders of his political fate with reference to his re-election bid.

How on earth would the leadership of the thriving APC which is in the total control of the third tier of government in the state and has successfully harvested all the leading lights in the PDP be begging the head of such rudderless government to join our party? It doesn’t add up’ the party submitted while alleging that Governor Adeleke has been running helter-skelter from Osogbo to Abuja to Lagos to London to America to Canada to Dubai to France with a view to defecting to ‘our party’ without luck-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
