Rep Sanya Omirin Receives APC Defectors Into PDP In Atakumosa East LG

Honorable Sanya Omirin,  who represents Ijesha South Federal Constituency, Osun State in the House of Representatives,  has received members of the APC  and some major stakeholders in the party in Atakumosa East local government into the PDP.

Receiving the APC defectors, Honorable Sanya Omirin, warmly welcomed them to the PDP family  while assuring them of equal opportunity and treatment and also promising them justice and fairness in every way. 

  A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that former Atakumosa East LG Secretary, who served  under Femi Kujembola,  Asiwaju Razaq Oyelami, the  current Treasurer of APC in the local government, Hon Kola Omoniyi,  Hon Adepoju Kehinde ,former councilor Ward 08 and Hon Mrs Grace Mayowa former councilor Ward 01, were among the APC defectors.

Rep Omirin, who noted that he was  happy about the development, commended the decampees for taking what he described as ‘a wise decision’ while urging collective support for the PDP and Governor Ademola Adeleke’s transformation agenda in the state.

Also speaking, Governor Adeleke’s  Special Adviser, Mrs Fakeye Emiola noted that the achievements of the PDP in Osun State made the defections being recorded possible.

She added that the mass defection is a product of the growing dissatisfaction within the state APC and the increasing popularity of the PDP under Governor Adeleke’s leadership.

Hon. Alade Ibironke,  who is the Atakumosa East Local Government PDP chairmanship candidate, commended the  APC defectors for taking a bold decision to leave the  opposition party.

In his remarks, Hon. Rasak Oyelami, from Ward 7 Ongbogi, who is popularly called Asiwaju,  thanked the party leaders in the local government under Hon. Sanya Omirin’s leadership for their unwavering support in facilitating their defection to the ruling party. He also commended Governor Ademola Adeleke’s development strides and thanked Rep Sanya Omirin for facilitating the Eti Oni road project noting that these achievements motivated them to leave the APC.

Hon. Tunji Ogunleye  aka Okajue, from Ward 1 Iwara, who was also one of the APC defectors, noted that joining the PDP was a decision taken to collaborate with the party leadership in Atakumosa East local government to take the local government to greater heights by supporting the ongoing efforts to change things for the better in the state.

In his speech, Hon. Sanmi Areoye  expressed gratitude to PDP leaders in Atakumosa East local government for their efforts to promote and strengthen the party in the local government. He also warmly welcomed the new members to the PDP family, promising  equal treatment for  everyone and noting that hard work will be recognized cognizant that ‘the PDP is a party that places merit above sentiment’.

Overwhelmed with joy, Hon. Kola Omoniyi,  who expressed gratitude to Hon. Sanya Omirin and other party leaders for  giving them a warm welcome,  assured the party leaders of his total commitment to contributing to the growth and success of the PDP.
