Rep Tolulope Akande-Sadipe Comes Under Fire After Gifting Party Chieftain SUV Car On His 85th Birthday…It’s Ill-Considered, Unwise-OPF
Rep Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, who represents Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has come under fire after gifting a party bigwig, Alhaji Razak Akilapa a Lexus RX 300 luxury SUV on his 85th birthday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that one of the groups that have criticized his decision to gift Alhaji Razaq Akilapa a car is Oluyole Progressive Force (OPF) which has described this as a misplaced priority.
OPF in a statement issued by its Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Shodimu, and Secretary, Esther Tolase described the federal lawmaker’s action as a misplaced priority at a time when the majority of her constituents are suffering.
‘This is absurd. It is unreasonable. If they are making so much money in the House of Representatives, wisdom dictates that it should be spent wisely to better the lives of constituents rather than on unproductive luxury cars.
This humongous sum, if used wisely, could have transformed the lives of 60 persons in the federal constituency for life. It would have impacted families and uplifted economic activities in the local government area. But our own honourable chose to gift a 15 million naira unproductive car to an 85-year-old man. Sad!’ the statement said.
Oluyole Progressive Force, whose members are mainly registered members of APC, lamented that the reps member has bought a car for a party elder while residents and traders on the street leading to Olomi Primary School, the venue for the party’s weekly meetings, have been complaining bitterly about the poor condition of the road for more than a decade which has now become impassable-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
