Robert Prevost Is New Pope…He is The First American To Become Leader Of Catholic Church

69-year-old Robert Francis Prevost, who hails from Chicago, made history on Thursday by becoming the first pope from the United States of America.
Now known as Pope Leo XIV, Robert, who is the 267th Pope, is the new leader of the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics.
Emerging as new leader of the Catholic Church after a group of 133 cardinals gathered in conclave, he stepped into his role as the new Pope on the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica on Thursday evening, saying ‘Peace be with you all’ to thousands of cheering Catholics.
Pope Leo XIV paid tribute to Late Pope Francis, urging them to remember his legacy of unity while outlining his own vision for the Catholic Church.
