Popoola Kehinde Esther , an indigene of Omu-Aran  , who is an ND 2 Student at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kwara state Polytechnic, Ilorin, held everyone spellbound while talking about the impacts of Engineer Sulaiman Rotimi Iliasu’s philanthropy.

After leaving high school , she got trained as a Forklift operator and she had lost hope of furthering her education until the former Works Commissioner came into picture through a viral video that got his attention.

‘I was at our workshop  when a man, Mr Ifeanyi  filmed me while working on one of the forklift machines . I learned that when he got home, he showed it to his daughter ,who made the video go viral,

Later a sister  got involved and they told me that the video had gone viral and prominent people were already willing to sponsor my education.

I don’t even know her name but I saved her phone number  with ‘Sweet heart’, they later collected my phones and told me they were helping me to coordinate things. I even learned that the then Minister for Youth , Chief Sunday Dare was looking for me.

While waiting to get feedback from them, Engineer Iliasu came to our workshop, bought new phone for me and promised to sponsor my education and he has since then been responsible for everything.  I have not seen him since that day, and I had thought he would attend this event so that I can specially thank him for his support’ she said-Team@orientactualmags.com
