Rukayat Shittu, 26, Wins House of Assembly Seat In Kwara
26-year-old Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu, has won a parliament seat in Kwara state.
Shittu, who was the APC candidate in the House of Assembly election held on Saturday , would be representing Owode Onire state constituency.
Owode Onire constituency is in Asa Local Government.
Professor Akeem Olasunkanmi Ijaiya ,who was the Returning Officer for the election , noted that Shittu got 7,521 votes while Abdullah Magaji of the PDP had 6,957 votes.
‘Having scored the highest number of votes and satisfied the requirements of the law, she is hereby declared the winner of the election’ Prof Ijaiya submitted.
