Sallah : Gov Bagudu Commends Citizens For Making Kebbi Remain APC-Controlled State
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has lauded residents and citizens of Kebbi state for ensuring that Kebbi remains an APC-controlled state.
The governor also apologized to the people of the state for whatever may have been his shortcomings in his eight years of running the affairs of the state.
Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday that the governor said this while talking to journalists at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, after the Eid prayer.
He noted that ‘today’s Eid celebration would be the last of my administration’, saying ‘as human beings we are bound to make mistakes’.
The governor however expressed happiness that the people of Kebbi state gave their unflinching support to APC candidates which resulted in victory for the party.
He described the governor elect , Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu as a person with pedigree, humility and compassion who would provide the necessary leadership that would make Kebbi state become the best and excel in all sectors .
Bagudu urged the people of Kebbi state to extend similar support and cooperation to the incoming administration to strengthen the path of progress for the betterment of all residents of the state.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for providing necessary moral and material supports to Kebbi state to excel while also thanking him for appointing a capable person from the state, Abubakar Malami,SAN, as Minister of Justice and Attorney of the Federation , describing him as the best Attorney – General that Nigeria has ever produced.
The governor also congratulated the President for successfully performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia and celebrating the Eidel Fitr at home which will be the last one he would perform as number one citizen.
The Governor elect, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, has also thanked God for His favours and Mercies noting that the Ramadan fasting was observed peacefully under His guidance while the Eid – el- Fitri has also been celebrated peacefully.
Dr. Nasir Idris on behalf of entire people of Kebbi state thanked Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN for their massive support and cooperation which resulted in election victory for the APC.
The Governor -elect affirmed commitment to building on their legacy of development and compassion for the people.
He also thanked Kebbi state people for their overwhelming support and understanding while urging them to extend same level of support to his administration.
Earlier, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Governor -elect, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, the Minister of Justice , Abubakar Malami, SAN and the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar had joined thousands of Muslims to observe the two raakah Eid-el-fitr prayer at the Gesse Two Eid Praying ground , Birnin Kebbi.
