Sanya Omirin Remains Best Candidate For Ijesha South Reps Seat-Olumide  Osunlana

Ahead of  the  House of Representatives election scheduled to hold on Saturday, 25 February 2023, Hon Olumide Osunlana, who is a close ally of  Ijesha South PDP House of Representatives candidate,  Hon Sanya Omirin, has described the former LG chairman as the best candidate for the reps seat.

in this interview with Team@orientactualmags.com , Osunlana asserted that Hon. Sanya Omirin and his supporters, have remained in upbeat mood.

‘I am convinced and still want to reassure you that there is no controversy about the electability of Hon. Sanya Omirin, he will win the Ijesha South reps election by the Grace of God and my reasons are simple, let me summarize them.

He has a pedigree that cannot be overlooked, he  served as Secretary of Atakunmosa East Local Government meritoriously and he did so well that his then Council boss  and other members of the legislative arm insisted that he should be supported to  become the Local Government Chairman.

He served as Local Government Chairman and he did well and when the position of Civil Service Commissioner was zoned to his local government during the Olagunsoye Oyinlola administration, his people again  unanimously nominated him as Statutory Commissioner, Civil Service  Commission.

Having  done well for the third time,   he was again  nominated  to represent Osun State as  Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission.

 He also did excellently well  and since leaving the  commission,  the people of Ijesa South had urged him to join the gubernatorial race but  he lost out due to the zoning arrangements of his party, the PDP.

 Hon. Omirin had to follow the party’s directive and  he  joined the House of Representatives  race.

 Hon. Omirin has  performed creditably well in all the offices he had  occupied at different times  and his benevolence to the people had no boundary. Whether you are politically related to him or not ,doesn’t affect his relationship with you when it comes to offering  assistance. He is a good-natured politician’ he said while responding to a question on Omirin’s chances..

He also submitted that Hon Omirin’s emergence as reps candidate has helped to strengthen unity in the federal constituency’s chapter of the PDP.

‘Let me say this, it has been noticed that since Hon. Sanya  Omirin emerged as PDP house of Representatives candidate, almost all those who had felt aggrieved for one reason, or another have returned to the party and they are committedly working towards the election victory of Omirin and other PDP candidates , they had noted that his status as a candidate  has  made them have a strong hope that they will they will have it good’ he said.

Olumide while reacting to allegations that the reps candidate had engaged in political violence asserted that those raising such an allegation were only making efforts to harm Omirin’s reputation.

 ‘Those who are spreading such rumours are clever by half, they were the ones whose thugs killed PDP members and they are the ones who also rushed to the media, alleging that Omirin was involved. Those murdered innocent young men are supporters of PDP, they are Omirin’s core supporters, and it is funny that they have suddenly become APC members  after being gruesomely murdered. Anyway, the police are already investigating those who have been identified as the real criminals, the Ijesa people and eyewitness accounts have exposed them and there is no amount of blackmail or spurious claims by APC candidates  in Ijesha land who are the masterminds of heinous crimes and the blackmail  that will  stop  Hon. Sanya Omirin from earning victory.

 Sanya Omirin knows nothing about the issue, they want to implicate him but witnesses have exposed them.

Omirin for Representatives project is not a do or die affair, I’m saying it again that he has repeatedly said that  it’s not worth sacrificing the life of  any of the constituents that he wants to represent, it is those who are desperate for power that are behaving as if without a political office, their life will end, Omirin is an investor, he is an entrepreneur of note, he is contented. What he wants to do is just to have the power to give broader employment opportunities to his people he submitted.

Hon Olumide also described Hon Omirin as a true party man.

 ‘His tremendous efforts in building and making the Party (PDP) the choice of most electors in Ijesha South federal Constituency is  not in doubt, like I said above, his emergence as House of Representatives Candidate has boosted the image of the party in Ijesa zone’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com
