Saraki Condemns Killing Of PDP Ward Chairman, Son In Patigi, Offers Condolences
Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Alhaji Abdullahi Shehu Kpotun and his son by unknown gunmen in Lile community, Patigi Local Government, Kwara State.
Kpotun was until his passing, the chairman of PDP in Lade Ward l, Patigi local government.
Dr Saraki in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his media aide, Mr Abdulgamiyu Abdulqadri on Wednesday described the killing of Kpotun and his son as barbaric, and unacceptable.
‘This is a devastating loss. I am heartbroken by the news of the gruesome killing of Alhaji Abdullahi Shehu Kpotun and his son. My thoughts and prayers are with their immediate family and the Patigi community in this difficult time.
The tragic incident occurred when gunmen attacked their residence late at night, leading to the death of both the father and the son in what has been described as a senseless and deeply saddening act of violence’ the statement said.
Dr Saraki prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased persons, while asking Almighty Allah to grant them Aljanah Firdaus, and comfort the grieving family and the community.
He also called on relevant security agencies and the Kwara State Government to take urgent and proactive measures to address the growing insecurity across the state, emphasizing that the protection of lives and property must be treated as a top priority.
