Saraki Foundation Flags Off Distribution Of Farm Inputs To Farmers In Kwara…Targets 3,468 Beneficiaries

The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation has flagged off distribution of farm inputs to farmers in the Kwara North Senatorial District.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the distribution of the farm inputs began on Monday, August 26, 2024, while targeting 986 farmers as primary beneficiaries and over 2,500 as secondary beneficiaries .
The statement quoted the North Central Regional Director of the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation, Mallam Musa Aliyu, to have submitted that the distribution that started with beneficiaries from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has now been extended to farmers in Kwara North who are not politicians.
Aliyu noted that the objectives of the empowerment project are ‘to provide low-income farmers in Kwara North with inputs such as fertilizers and herbicides to improve farm produce for the 2024 farming season.
It also aims to support farmers to increase average crop yields, thereby improving food security and farmers’ incomes’.
The basic commodities and inputs provided by the foundation, he noted, will also go a long way in addressing public health challenges like malnutrition and poor diets.
The ABS Foundation North Central Regional Director also expressed happiness that the intervention is already yielding results as beneficiaries ‘have already begun to give positive feedback’.
‘The Agbesowapo Farmers’ Association of Moro LGA has expressed their deep gratitude for the support they have received.
According to their Chairman, Aremu Abdulfatai A, they deeply appreciated the kind gesture from the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation and hope for more of such initiatives in the future.
They prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to guide, protect, and bless the founder, directors, coordinators, and everyone involved in this noble effort.
Similarly, Hammada Balkis Motunrayo, the representative of the National Women Society Council, Moro LGA, expressed appreciation on behalf of the farmerettes in the Kwara North senatorial district.
She emphasized that farmerettes would remain grateful for this kind gesture and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the inputs rather than selling the vital life-saving commodities’ the statement added.
Aliyu assured that the ABS Foundation will continue to monitor progress and offer follow-up support to ensure the success of the project.–Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
